• Valve body material description



    1. Gray cast iron. Gray cast iron valve with its low price, wide range of application and applied in various fields of industry. They are commonly used in the case of water, steam, oil and gas as the medium, and are widely used in chemical industry, printing and dyeing, oil, textile and many other industrial products that have little or no impact on iron pollution. It is suitable for low pressure valve with nominal pressure PN≤1.6MPa and operating temperature between -15 ~ 200℃.


    2. Ductile iron. Ductile iron is a type of cast iron in which nodular or spheroidal graphite replaces the flake graphite found in gray iron. This change in the internal structure of the metal makes it mechanically better than ordinary gray cast iron without damaging other properties. As a result, valves made of ductile iron have higher operating pressures than those made of gray iron. It is suitable for middle and low pressure valves with nominal pressure PN≤4.0MPa and operating temperature between -30 ℃ and 350℃. Suitable medium is water, sea water, steam, air, gas, oil and so on.


    3. Carbon steel. Cast steel was originally developed to meet production needs beyond the capacity of cast iron and bronze valves. But because the carbon steel valve general service performance is good, and by the thermal expansion, the impact load and the pipeline deformation and the stress resistance strength is big, makes its use scope to expand, usually includes the use of the cast iron valve and the bronze valve working condition. Suitable for middle and high pressure valves with operating temperature between -29 ~ 425℃. Among them, the temperature of 16Mn and 30Mn is between -- 40 ~ 400℃, which is commonly used to replace ASTM A105. Suitable medium is saturated steam and superheated steam. High and low temperature oil products, liquefied gas, compressed air, water, natural gas, etc.
